olafur eliasson is a danish-icelandic artist best known for his large-scale sculptures and installations that adopt elemental materials such as light, water, and air temperature to engage with the viewer’s perception of space. based in berlin, his studio comprises about ninety people, from craftsmen and specialized technicians, to architects and art historians. eliasson’s diverse works in sculpture, painting, photography, film, and installations have been exhibited widely throughout the world.
