roboat is a research project on an autonomous floating system developed by the amsterdam institute for advanced metropolitan solutions (AMS) and MIT senseable city lab. the flexible autonomous infrastructures could connect together to build temporary floating bridges and platforms. they also provided for a wide range of uses from collecting garbage to transport goods and people. roboats will be equipped with powerful algorithms that allow them to navigate autonomously for some hours while collecting data about the city.
