studio job is the creative collaboration of designers job smeets and nynke tynagel, based in antwerp and the netherlands. founded in 1998 by job smeets, studio job is best known for its expressive, largely limited edition works that are opulent, intricate and ironic, combining high level craftsmanship with extreme ornamentation. the work utilizes traditional applied-arts techniques such as bronze casting, stained glass, and marquetry to form personal, historic, and sociocultural narratives.
