studio monaka is an architectural design office founded in kyoto by hiroshi okayama, shuhei morita and kenichiro nakamoto. the studio has opened an office in okinawa as well, and is currently operating out of two locations. studio monaka wishes to create spaces where people of diverse origins and backgrounds can meet and come together. through its projects, it strives to create architecture that functions as a backdrop to the day-to-day activities of all people.
