valencia was nominated world design capital for 2022. the highly anticipated official program was announced at the institutional gala held at the palau de les reina sofia at the end of 2021. encompassing over 100 activities spread across the 12 months, the multidisciplinary agenda introduces a range of inspiring exhibitions, installations, galleries, workshops, masterclasses and lecture series for design professionals and aspiring creatives as well. mediterranean design, particularly change and improving quality of life, forms the main themes of these activities, which are predicted to be received by over two million visitors.
