yasmeen lari is a humanitarian activist and pakistan's first female architect. she is known for her sustainable architectural designs, which incorporate traditional techniques and materials. lari has received numerous awards for her contributions to architecture and heritage conservation, including the jane drew prize in 2020. she is also the founder of the heritage foundation of pakistan, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of pakistan's architectural heritage.


in 2023, yasmeen lari was awarded the royal institute of british architects (RIBA) gold medal for her exceptional contribution to architecture. the award recognized her pioneering work in sustainable and vernacular architecture, as well as her humanitarian efforts in providing shelter for victims of natural disasters.
