yin xiuzhen 尹秀珍 is a chinese sculpture and installation artist who incorporates used textiles and keepsakes from her childhood in beijing to show the connection between memory and cultural identity. by working with recycled materials, yin xiuzhen seeks to personalize objects and allude to the lives of specific individuals – often neglected in the race toward urbanization, modern development and the growing global economy.
