ying gao is a montreal-based fashion designer and professor at the university of quebec. her work questions our assumptions about clothing by combining fashion design, product design and media design. she explores the construction of the garment, taking her inspiration from the transformations of the social and urban environment. gao's work is showcased in numerous private and public collections, including those of dakis joannou and the montreal museum of fine arts.
