the 2016 cadillac ‘CTS-V’ sedan is the most powerful model in the brand’s 112-year history, boasting a supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine that propels it from 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds. by also being backed by a paddle-shift eight-speed automatic transmission, launch control and performance algorithm shifting, the high figures continue to offer 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque that ensures the car can reach a top speed of 200mph. as the third generation of the sports auto that launched the elite V-series a decade ago, the vehicle is essentially two in one: as a luxury and sophisticated sedan, and a track-capable sports automobile.

its track-honed design, chassis and suspension complements its ability

the luxury performance cadillac ‘CTS-V’ has a track-honed design, chassis and suspension to complement its racing ability. its carbon fiber hood, vent, front splitter, rear spoiler and rear diffuser combined with its structural stiffness that has been increased by 25%, provides an improved ride, handling and aerodynamic competence. the car also features three driver-selectable modes; touring, sport and circuit driving, and a brembo high-performance brake system that was developed to provide durability, consistency and racing capability.

the dashboard features a 12.3-inch instrument panel cluster display

‘with the stronger body structure – and more than a decade of V-series production models and the CTS-V racing program experience – engineers tuned the CTS-V to deliver greater body motion control for a more agile feel, while maintaining excellent ride quality,’ said david leone, cadillac executive chief engineer. ‘the result is class-leading capability on the highway or track, balanced with luxury and refinement.’

the interior creates a luxury-performance environment

inside the 2015 model, the performance-orientated interior is composed of sueded microfiber accents, matte-finished carbon fiber trim and RECARO seats, that combine to offer a glamorous-sport feel. available in a three color combinations; jet black, jet black with light platinum accents and saffron with jet black highlights, it continues design cues from the exterior. as well, a transition of technologies from its mechanical intelligence is displayed with its interior thanks to its front curb-view camera, automatic parking assist and side blind zone alert. these provide the user with advanced safety systems and are displayed on the 12.3 inch screen, that also features; bluetooth connectivity, bose surrond sound audio, siri eyes free and wireless inductive phone charging.

the 2016 model is the company’s most powerful product to date
