2024 cadillac CELESTIQ debuts as electric, driverless, customizable & high-tech sedan

Ultra-customizable 2024 cadillac celestiq

Cadillac unveils its 2024 all-electric CELESTIQ sedan, rooted in Cadillac’s history of handcrafted, iconic car designs such as the 1933 V16 Aerodynamic Coupe and the 1957 Eldorado Brougham. The driverless high-tech car is powered by a 111-kWh battery pack and a two-motor, all-wheel-drive propulsion system that offer up to 600 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque. It has an estimated driving range of 300 miles on a full charge. The electric vehicle is slated to deliver one of the quickest 0-60-mph accelerations in just 3.8 seconds.

Each CELESTIQ is personally commissioned, so no two will be alike. Clients will work directly with their selected dealer and Cadillac designers to realize the design they want for the car. Cadillac CELESTIQ features a system that converts the kinetic energy of the vehicle into electricity that’s stored in the battery pack and a pedal driving system that can slow it to a complete stop using only the accelerator pedal. CELESTIQ is also equipped with a 200 kW DC fast-charging system capable of adding up to 78 miles of range in only 10 minutes of charging at a public DC fast-charging station.

Extremely high-tech with 55-inch display

Cadillac CELESTIQ includes approximately 300 approved and pending patented technologies and processes, including hands-free driver assistance features, safety features, electrified propulsion systems, and connected technologies. Inside, a 55-inch advanced HD display with pixel density comparable to an 8K screen shows vehicle information while allowing passengers to play media, use the internet, and connect their smartphones, to name a few.

It is one of five high-definition displays in the vehicle, including an 11-inch front console mounted Front Command Center and an 8-inch rear console Rear Command Center that allows drivers to control the seating positions, cabin temperature, door opening, and closing, tinting the all-glass roof panel and more. Rear passengers have their own 12.6-inch-diagonal advanced displays in front of them, and a crystal multi-functional controller made of fine metal and glass on the front-center console directs the primary screen. New to Cadillac CELESTIQ is the all-glass roof panel that allows the drivers to control the amount of light allowed into the vehicle.

Real metal coats the exterior design

The spirit of futurism and the avant-garde is the core focus of the exterior design of the electric vehicle. Every metal surface on the exterior is real metal including an aluminum grille, brushed aluminum bodyside, aluminum trunk lining, rocker, taillamp and headlamp trim, and brushed metal body openings. The charge port is surrounded by a ring of light that responds when the CELESTIQ is plugged in for charging.

There is also a lighting choreography feature in the new Cadillac CELESTIQ where the vehicle lights up when it detects the driver from 15 feet away using their key fob. Limitless features and luxury are the main philosophies of Cadillac CELESTIQ which is expected to go into production in December 2023 with a starting price of 300,000 USD that can increase based on level of personalization. Cadillac CELESTIQ’s availability is only by waitlist.
