get off the grid with the solar-panelled 2020 airstream atlas camper RV

whether autocamp’s luxury remodel or a futuristic concept, airstream’s iconic streamlined RV and trailers have been painted into the perfect pictures of the great outdoors since the 1920s. airstream has now introduced the atlas camper RV 2020 ready for your next camping adventure. with a solar-panelled rooftop, the 24-feet long design is said to be their most luxurious coach yet.

the 2020 airstream atlas camper RV is based upon a mercedes-benz sprinter that was first launched in 2019. as well as enhancing the existing chassis, the model includes soft air suspension, a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6, and a 10.3-inch infotainment display on its wide dashboard.

referencing airstream’s renowned silver form, the RV’s exterior design is focused on aerodynamics and safety with large convenience mirrors and smoothed surfaces. up above, solar panels line its rooftop to add extra charge for electronics, and an awning can extend outwards with a simple touch of a button. this is not the only transformation that the camper can perform, though. as a first for their motorhomes, the 2020 model has a power slide-out that seamlessly retracts into the body with on the road.

the power slide-out makes the camper’s interior even roomier. it can fit four passengers and sleeps two people on its murphy suite bed, which folds down from the wall. the living-cum-bedroom’s highlight feature is its large, hideaway samsung smart TV. at the rear, through a sliding pocket door, there is a three-piece residential-style bathroom that includes a closet, vanity shower and porcelain toilet. furthermore, the whole interior is tailored to fit the owner with multiple special fabrics, graphics and other décor options available.
