acer has released the ‘veriton Z’ all-in-one (AIO) desktop PC, alongside the touchscreen AIO ‘AZ3’ and ‘AZ5’ devices

now available are three new series of all-in-one personal computers by acer: the media-centric ‘AZ3’ and ‘AZ5’ touchscreen desktops, and the ‘veriton Z’ series for business performance. all devices run the windows 7 operating system.

the ‘veriton Z’ series is designed for maximized performance in compact space. while devices vary in their processing power, all contain a 20-inch LCD screen mounted in a black chassis with six USB 2.0 ports. processors range from an intel 4-core i5 with nvidia graphics card to a dual-core intel pentium processor with intel graphics, featuring 500GB SATA hard drives and 4GB of SDRAM to facilitate multitasking.

special software built into the system includes acer’s ‘proshield’ data security applications as well as network management and system backup tools.

devices in the ‘acer veriton Z’ line begin at 650 USD and run through 850 USD.

the ‘AZ3’ and ‘AZ5’ PCs are designed to look nearly identical to one another from the exterior, with the difference that the ‘AZ5’ features a 23-inch touchscreen while that of the ‘AZ3’ is 21-inches, both at a ratio of 16:9. a range of hardware options permits users to customize their needs for processors, speakers, and memory, both computers including by default 2.5-watt built-in stereo speakers with dolby home theatre audio technology, as well as a 1.3-megapixel front webcamera and built-in microphone.

the higher-end ‘AZ5’ model features an intel core i3 processor and 1-terabyte hard drive, while the ‘AZ3’ runs off an AMD dual-core processor, with a 500-gigabyte hard drive. the company’s ‘clear.fi’ management application automatically syncs the computers with other acer devices for sharing and playback of media. both devices include two side USB 3.0 ports and four USB 2.0 ports along the back, alongside a built-in digital media card reader.

the ‘AZ3’ retails for 650 USD and the ‘AZ5’ for 750 USD.
