catamarans traditional know for being quick sailboats because they have a very shallow draught, the drastically reduce drag allowing for faster speeds than the popular monohull. english columbian transportation designer andrew trujillo, pushes the theory by introducing it to light motor boats with his 40 foot ‘lightning’ concept. the boat features a minimalistic layout with clean lines and contrasting wood and white fiberglass accents. unfortunately, the ‘lightning’ concept is not set for production any time soon, but the renderings are an example of an ongoing trend to bring modern themes to the nautical industry around the world.
