apple launches iPhone SE, a compact and affordable alternative

apple has unveiled the second-generation ‘iPhone SE’, a compact device with a 4.7-inch display. described as the company’s most affordable iPhone, the product is available for pre-order beginning april 17, 2020 starting at $399 in the US, £419 in the UK, and €430 in much of europe. available in three colors — black, white, and (PRODUCT)RED — the device is powered by the ‘fastest chip in a smartphone’ and includes ‘portrait mode’. the device also promises long battery life and is designed to withstand the elements with a water resistance of up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. with capacities of 64, 128, and 256GB, the device is seen as a more compact and cheaper alternative to apple’s larger iPhone models.

notably, iPhone SE features the familiar ‘home’ button that can detect a user’s fingerprint to unlock it. the phone can be charged wirelessly and gives customers up to 50% battery life in 30 minutes. meanwhile, a dual SIM system allows users to have two separate phone numbers on a single device. iPhone SE has a 12-megapixel f/1.8 aperture wide camera, and includes portrait mode, all six portrait lighting effects and depth control. the rear camera supports high-quality video capture at 4K up to 60fps. read more details about the device on apple’s website.
