designed for city driving as well as motoring pleasure, belarusian designer artem smirnov’s punch! is an urban electric motorcycle with a highly functional form. it is said to be a modern interpretation of bikes seen on the streets of paris in the 1980s, having ‘modest weight, compact dimensions, high ground clearance, spoke wheels, [and] elongated suspension travels’.

the highly geometric shape of artem smirnov’s punch! e-bike is formed by a double-cylindrical body that extends from the headlight to the taillight via its seat. it is almost reminiscent of the sol motors noped bike. the result is a clean, silver and black tube that sits atop two wheels and features its key elements – the electric batteries and drivetrain setup – in between below the body. onlookers first see an off-center headlight and then two circular rearlights at the back.

chosen for its acceleration, the electric drivetrain includes two quick-detachable battery packs, which can be charged indoors, hanging below the tubular body. although conceptual, this will help propel the design to a limited speed of 75 mph (120 km/h), with an estimated range of 68 miles (110 km) per charge.
