ASTON MARTIN BRINGS THE AMB SERIES TO THE ROAD

Aston Martin and Brough Superior introduce the AMB 002 Roadster, their first motorcycle designed and certified for use on public roads. The new model follows the track-only AMB 001, unveiled in 2019, and the AMB 001 Pro of 2022, extending the collaboration between the British marques beyond the circuit. Developed from scratch rather than adapted from either predecessor, the AMB 002 is limited to 300 individually built examples, with first deliveries scheduled for the third quarter of 2027.

The roadster combines compact proportions with sculpted carbon fiber bodywork shaped by the Aston Martin Design Studio. A smooth carbon fiber fuel tank rises toward the rider, while crescent-shaped openings carved into the side fairings channel cooling air around the engine. Automotive references appear throughout: Aston Martin’s side strake passes through the fairing and wraps around the headlamp, twin oval exhausts reference the Vanquish, DB12 S and DBX S, and blade-like rear lights recall the Vulcan, Valkyrie and Valhalla. Keyless operation, a backlit ignition button and leather saddle pads add details more commonly associated with the company’s road cars.

A FIVE-KILOGRAM TITANIUM FRAME HOLDS THE NEW V-TWIN

At the center of the AMB 002 is an all-new 1,083cc four-stroke water-cooled V-twin, producing 130 bhp and 110 Nm of torque. Developed for stronger low- and mid-range response on the road, the engine is machined and assembled in-house at Brough Superior’s headquarters in Toulouse, France, including CNC-machined billet engine cases developed to reduce weight. It sits within a titanium backbone frame milled from a solid billet that weighs just five kilograms and contributes to a 50:50 weight distribution.

Carbon fiber body panels and fuel tank help keep the motorcycle’s overall weight to 190 kilograms, while concentrating mass low within the chassis. Up front, Brough Superior’s double-wishbone Fior fork separates steering and braking forces rather than relying on a conventional telescopic fork. Evolved from the system developed for the AMB 001 Pro, the suspension is intended to maintain the bike’s geometry under braking and reduce dive, particularly when braking while leaned into a corner.

FROM TRACK-ONLY EXPERIMENT TO ROAD-LEGAL ROADSTER

The AMB 002 marks a shift in a collaboration that began with motorcycles conceived primarily as collectible track machines. The first AMB 001 paired Aston Martin styling with Brough Superior engineering, while the subsequent AMB 001 Pro pushed the partnership further toward circuit performance. For the new Roadster, the brands instead focus on making the same combination of lightweight materials, mechanical detailing and limited production usable beyond the racetrack.

Each AMB 002 will be hand-built by Brough Superior in Toulouse, combining carbon fiber, titanium and machined components with hand-finished leather details. Production remains capped at 300 motorcycles, continuing the limited-edition approach of its predecessors while significantly increasing the number that will reach owners. Aston Martin and Brough Superior have not announced pricing for the Roadster, but orders are already being accepted ahead of deliveries beginning in Q3 2027.
