asus laptop by bang & olufsen

while most laptops and computers tow the line of standard styling, asus has teamed up with the danish design house bang & olufsen to create a sleek aluminium design. the design goes beyond mere aesthetics and implements some of b&o trademark interaction touches, like the dual touchpads. this feature allows the user to essentially control the computer through multi-touch with both hands working simultaneously. the laptop has a large 18.4 inch screen that makes it ideally suited for moving from room to room, rather than from home to the office. the screen is flanked by b&o speakers that complement the advanced video hardware within.

  • Nice design, in the spirit of B&O, but i wouldnt want to carry that beast around, looks to big and to heavy

    crazy_mindža says:
  • very clean and fresh

    victor says:
  • MUCH better than B&O’s collab with samsung.

    classical says:
  • I guess it’s nice, but man it reminds me of 80s audio gear (or is that the point?)

    Vicky says:
  • Bang&Olufsen and Asus don’t mix well. A top-notch company like B&O mixed up with crappy computer company Asus? Doesn’t seems nice.

I’ll stick with my Macbook Pro…

    mdl says:
  • Somehow B&O again manages to make a design very bulky. They did this also with some of their LCD or plasma TV’s.

    Rudy says:
  • Vicky, the crappy computer company make you beautiful mac book pro, too.

    Pablo says:
  • You love the design or hate it. For me it’s a true beauty. I don’t mind the size or weight. I’m thrilled till I’ll see the price tag.

    hyvis says:
  • if this 18″ “laptop” is too big to bring to the office, just from room to room, why not just buy an 20″ imac?
