AUDI ‘e-tron quattro’ concept uses the power of three electric motors – one drives the front axle, the two others act on the rear axle, outputting 320 kW. when the driver floors the right pedal, the concept performs like a sports car, and sprints from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h.

the large lithium-ion battery is integrated into the floor, and gives the SUV a low center of gravity, helping its dynamic handling. the battery has a range of 500 km and enables both DC or AC electrical charging. alternatively, the car is equipped with wireless charging technology that employs contactless induction charging. in addition, a solar roof provides electricity for the drive system battery on sunny days.

AUDI devoted itself to ensure very high efficiency to maximize the SUV’s battery range. this lead them to actuate aerodynamic elements on the engine hood, where the flanks direct the flow of air as needed to improve the stream through and around the vehicle. the ‘e-tron quattro concept’ skipped the exterior mirrors and replaced them with cameras, a preview of the future of driving.

like SUVs of today, the concept is spacious and comfortable. it fits four people and more luggage then actually necessary. inside, the focal point is AUDI’s curved OLED virtual cockpit dashboard. the fully digital instrument cluster has two touch displays with black glass and subtle aluminum frame. the driver controls the lights and the systems for piloted driving with the left display, and media and navigation on the right. the AUDI ‘e-tron quattro’ concept is the company’s statement about the future of electric mobility – sporty, efficient and suitable for everyday use.
