debuting at the 2015 auto shanghai show, the five-door AUDI ‘prologue allroad’ car has a raised body that helps it master any terrain, in any situation. as well as this, it enhances an integrated V8 twin turbocharged engine and an electric motor, that through an eight-speed toptronic, produces 734 hp. boasting 900 Nm of torque, the hybrid accelerates from 0 – 62 mph in 3.5 seconds and when in its pure electric mode, has a capacity of 14.1 kWh that powers it for 33.6 miles.

as the third member of the AUDI ‘prologue’ family, after the ‘concept‘ and the ‘avant‘, the ‘allroad’ also illustrates the brand’s design future. reflecting a fresh interpretation of the typical allroader, the vehicle has a long front-end, slopping roofline and flat D-pillars that give it an athletic, elegant and unique appearance. furthermore, its prominent bumpers and flared wheel wells emulate its performance capabilities.

staying with its front end, the flat and wide singleframe grille with its brushed aluminum crossbars, creates a new variant of the ‘e-tron’ look. as well, its wedge-shaped headlights that feature matrix laser technology, showcases the automotive company’s continuing developments in lighting technology. following its gray extension offset which runs along the entire bottom edge of the raised body, the advanced lighting features continue at the rear, with LED lights that are housed in 3D glass.

offering the driver and passengers a luxurious lounge experience, the interior has slender geometric bodies that convey the impression of space, serenity and lightness. its colors and trims help emphasize comfort and sporty elegance, through sard brown seats and carpeting, and dark fine-grain ash veneer wraparounds, doors and center tunnel console. the instrument display features a strictly horizontal configuration, where a touch or voice controlled display enables the navigation of infotainment options. an addition to this is the ‘butler’ software program, that identifies the passengers as they get in, based on their smartphones, and adjusts the seats, route planning, music and climate control according to their preferences.
