briggs automotive company (BAC) has released images of an updated mono single-seater supercar, which debuted ‘digitally’ at the geneva motor show 2020. finished in a semi-gloss silver and black two-tone color combination, the new model sits even lower and wider than its predecessor, previously published on designboom here, giving it a more organic and sleek appearance. the brand has come a long way over the years in terms of technological and design development since its first generation in 2011.

‘sporting the stunning new generation of mono design DNA first seen on the BAC mono R, the newcomer epitomizes how form enhances function with reductions in visual mass across the body, less frontal area and a lower height creating a sleeker, more organic overall appearance,’ explains BAC.

fully road legal, the new mono model weighs only 570 kg (1256 lbs) — 10kg less than its first version, and carries an impressive 332 bhp four-cylinder turbocharged engine. with a completely new approach to body engineering, BAC has shifted its focus on an impressive light-weighting technology. the new mono model is fit with a remarkable set of wheels that are 35% lighter than before. the engineers have also incorporated 3D printed parts and graphene-enhanced carbon fibre throughout the body — much lighter and stronger than regular carbon fibre — for improved mechanical and thermal performance.
