japanese camera manufacturer chinon introduces the bellami HD-1, a handheld video camera that heavily references styling cues from its 8mm cousin from the 1970s. the HD-1 features a retro die-cast body; the classic design integrates a large viewfinder, removable trigger handle and a D-mount for interchanging different modern and classic 8mm lenses. boasting a 2.1 megapixel sensor, the camera is capable of shooting in 30, 15, and 10 frames per second, with shutter speeds of up to 1/1000 per second. the device is priced at $850 and is currently only available in japan.
