BMW’s sports performance and electric mobility enhanced for cycling

pushing pedal power as well as horsepower, the BMW’s renowned experience has been transferred into their new bike designs too. from sports performance to electric mobility, the family of bicycles evoke their emotive driving experience through a shared design language. as such, each item displays the brand’s logo on their triangular frame.

following the ongoing trend for a fixie, the BMW ‘cruise bike’ features a slim frame design from designworks, the BMW-owned creative studio. the model delivers in terms of comfort thanks to a shimano nexus seven-speed hub gear that ensures dynamic acceleration.

inspired by BMW M cars, the BMW ‘M’ bike is the sportiest model with a matt black body and stripes in the M motorsport color scheme. the lightweight design includes a fork, spacers and seat posts made from carbon fiber, and a shimano SLX/XT groupset with eleven gears.

the brand’s electric technology has cycled into two bikes as well. the ‘active hybrid’ e-bike offers significant mileage on a single charge thanks to its 600 wh lithium-ion battery. the ‘urban active’ bike, though, has been specifically designed for daily commutes, with a slender frame and hidden battery.

also ideal for commuting as well as those who live with limited storage space, the ‘folding’ bike has a clever mechanism that enables it to shrink and be stowed in small spaces. the ‘city scooter’ and ‘e-scooter’ designs offer space-saving solutions as well. thanks to a collaboration with micro mobility systems, design details help the models fold and ease pedalling with internal batteries.

designed for children, the ‘kids’ and ‘junior cruise’ bikes offer great BMW design as well as versatility. the former model can be used as both a fully-fledged bicycle and as one for balance practising.
