BMW M uses the concept to bring forward familiar performance characteristics through a new visual language. The proportions of the car remain rooted in classic M cues, with pronounced wheel arches, a muscular shoulder line, and a forward-leaning shark nose. Aerodynamic components are integrated into the design rather than applied as separate elements, reflecting the longstanding emphasis of the company on function-driven form.

A V-shaped air outlet cuts through the front hood to support cooling for the electric drivetrain, while redesigned M aero mirrors and a trimaran-inspired front bumper draw directly from racing and high-speed engineering references. The front lighting introduces yellow light signatures that reference GT race cars and the BMW M Hybrid V8, suggesting a visual feature that could appear on future production models. ‘At BMW M, form consistently follows function. The BMW M Concept Neue Klasse interior adopts a reduced, driver-focused layout that prioritizes the driving experience over display-heavy interfaces. Four newly developed bucket seats incorporate structural natural fiber elements and are upholstered in a two-tone combination of Bathurst Blue and Berry Red leather. Black nubuck leather appears on the steering wheel, door panels, and roll bar, while red accents throughout the cockpit reinforce the performance-oriented character of the vehicle.

While the concept functions primarily as a design study, BMW also uses it to preview a new electric performance architecture. The BMW M eDrive system combines four electric motors with a centralized control software platform known as Heart of Joy. The drivetrain is built on sixth-generation Neue Klasse technology and operates on an 800-volt architecture. BMW states that the battery exceeds 100 kWh in capacity and uses an M-specific version of the company’s new cylindrical cells. The battery housing is structurally integrated into the vehicle architecture, allowing it to contribute to chassis rigidity and driving dynamics.
