hookie co. rebuilt everything mechanical on the BMW ‘R100/7’, including the engine, front suspension and brakes. the heavy 24 liter fuel tank is original and was stripped back to raw metal, painted with a black lightening bolt motif, before adding clear lacquer. the motorcycle also boasts a bespoke-made fuel filler cap. the team retained the ‘R100’s’ airbox, and exhaust, and gave them a fresh coat of black.

for the bike’s wiring, everything was ripped out and replaced with a motogadget ‘M.unit blue’ system, a bluetooth-enabled version of its control unit that pairs with the owner’s smartphone. the rider can configure the system, check diagnostics, or turn the motorcycle on just by having a phone close enough.
