in comparison to previous BMW ‘Z’ models, the ‘G29’s’ bonnet and overhangs are shortened, placing the driver and passenger in a more advanced seating position than before. the muscular lines flowing through the concept’s bodywork point toward an elegant back that is dominated with futuristic, elongated taillights and driven-rear-wheels, emphasizing the BMW ‘Z4’s’ agility.

the matte paint finish in ‘frozen energetic’ orange, and expressive 20-inch wheels, all signal toward the ‘Z4’ attracting a lot of attention from race car fanatics at the 2017 concours d’elegance in pebble beach. suchlike BMW’s most recent concept ‘6 series’, the rear spoiler appears to be seamlessly integrated into the trunk. stepping inside the concept’s interior, a ying-yang split between black and orange partitions the driver’s area from the passenger’s. the cockpit of the BMW ‘Z4’ concept is clearly oriented to the driver, and features a large free-standing infotainment touchscreen, plus a full-digital instrument display behind the steering wheel, while a head-up display provides critical performance information.

the production vehicle planned for 2018 will offer both variants of BMW’s turbo four-cylinder engine ‘B48’, and the six-cylinder ‘B58’ petrol engines. watch this space for further details on the ‘Z4’ concept later today!
