in 41.96 seconds, the bugatti chiron can reach 400 km/h (249mph) — a world record for manufactured cars. but now bugatti, which utilizes a full carbon fiber body, is offering customers a glimpse of the heavens for occupants reaching that world record speed: two newly developed laminated glass panels in the roof above the front seats.

the ‘sky view’ is available on the bugatti chiron with immediate effect, and will provide occupants more than just extra headroom. engineers had to compensate for the undesirable wind noise created from a 1,500 horse power, 16-cylinder and 4 turbocharger engine. additionally, the glass panels are tinted, providing occupants privacy while filtering out harmful UVA and UVB radiation.

the new amenity spans 65 cm long and 44 cm wide, and allows rays of sunshine to enter the interstellar-land-mobile. importantly, the laminated design improves the stiffness of the roof panels, adding to the ‘outstanding structural properties of the chiron,‘ thus maintaining the high standards for crash safety. the bugatti chiron with the ‘sky view’ will be unveiled at the monterey car week in pebble beach california at the end of august 2018.one of the rarest and fastest cars in the world, the bugatti chiron, now offers glass 'sky view'
