first ever 'byton' concept car revealed at CES 2018

designed with expressive proportions similar to an SUV, its creator, automotive start up, byton, ambitiously calls it something else — a smart intuitive vehicle, S.I.V. said to be ‘fuelled by intelligence‘, the car concept features semi-autonomous driving, facial recognition technology, seamless connectivity to smart devices, gesture controls and more. the model witnessed its worldwide debut at CES 2018.

at a length of 4.85 meters, the byton concept car showcases the brand’s first design aesthetics with a focus on masculine proportions and styling. although seeming to have an aggressive front appearance, as the car recedes, so does its initial notions. instead, the exterior bodywork, with its smooth surfaces that are interrupted by slim and sharp lines, presents a futuristic façade. this is further enhanced with disappearing door handles, hidden antennas, and a sleek, sloping roofline, as well as side-view cameras replacing wing mirrors.

also claiming to be ‘building a bridge between tradition and vision‘ for their electric vehicle, its interior design truly highlights this approach. the cabin contrasts between the high-technology details and high-class materials, manufactured and assembled with craftsmanship. inside, the space feels like a bespoke and personal lounge experience, where passengers can sit back, relax and be comfortable at every moment of the journey.
