Rimac Automobili celebrates its 15th Anniversary Edition with a new edition of its Nevera hypercar. For the first time, copper matte paintwork glazes the exterior car design alongside a pattern that replicates the connections of a circuit board. These two design elements extend throughout the length of the hypercar, as well as the dual-color alloy wheel design and 15-year anniversary badging. There’s even a fully visible carbon fiber split that contrasts the texture and color of the design.

Amidst all this, copper still takes the limelight. The shade is tailored to the 15th Anniversary Edition, and it isn’t only present in the exterior. Inside the anniversary edition of Rimac Nevera hypercar, copper colors the anodized switchgear and the surfaces to complement the exterior. Bold black or pristine white shines through the cabin, the additive mix in the copper palette. The seats feature contrasting copper leather, and the number ‘15’ shows up embossed into the headrests.

Rimac automobili unveils nevera 15th anniversary edition

There are only nine models available for the 15th Anniversary Edition of the Rimac Automobili Nevera hypercar. For Mate Rimac, the founder and CEO of Rimac Group, having the recent model celebrate 15 years of its automobile offshoot reminds him how far they’ve come.

‘Honestly, when I started to tinker with my first car in a garage, I couldn’t have even dreamt of being where we are 15 years later. There were so many times in the early years that we really thought the company wouldn’t make it, so reaching the 15-year milestone felt like it was worthy of a celebration. The 15th Anniversary Edition Nevera is the car that marks our progress,’ he says.

Back when mate rimac converted a 1984 bmw 3 series

Mate Rimac founded Rimac Automobili in 2009, a time when people told him to drop the idea of establishing a car company in Croatia. He didn’t listen. In 2011, he converted a 1984 BMW 3 Series into an electric car on his own. People told him he was just building a washing machine, and in 2012, that washing machine broke records as the fastest accelerating electric vehicle according to strict FIA rules.

Then, he and the Group introduced Rimac Automobili’s first all-electric hypercar in 2018. Fast-forward to today, the milestones Mate Rimac, his team, and his hypercars have smashed materialize in a limited-edition Nevera hypercar. In this case, copper is its true color, which symbolizes times of celebration and energy.
