the one-of-a-kind pedelec has a 15 teeth chain ring, a X12 rear thru axle and 11 speed SRAM XX1 transmission which enables a wide gear range for peak biking. the velocipede is suitable for this extreme-terrain sport by also featuring the rock shox RS-1 and the magura MT8 disk brakes that provide precise steering and helps stop the rider quickly in any weather conditions. the ‘elite hybrid’ is available in three color ways; the zeroblack, the black ‘n’ flashred and the black ‘n’ green, and received a gold award at the 27th-30th august 2014 eurobike show, with the judges saying ‘at last an e-mountain bike that’s also low in weight. with this consistently light frame, cube is pursing a different path to other suppliers and that’s something we applaud. this manufacturer has listened very closely to consumer wishes.’

  • When i last checked a mountain bike was sports equipment. Really odd to put a battery on a mountain bike. That is like having a laser aiming device on your golf club. But there will always be those people who buy it.

    gk says:
  • Some of us would like assistance to get up the mountain so we can enjoy the ride down.
Nevertheless the gearing seems odd, is it possible to propel this by human power?

    AR says:
  • The Bosch drive system is not a throttle based system. The rider has to pedal before the motor will provide assistance. Bicycles that use the Bosch system can be ridden as a conventional bicycle (without assistance) unlike the 2-cycle engine mopeds that were popular a few decades ago.
