in 2017, dahir insaat unveiled the visionary idea of ‘gyroscopic transport’ which, using a singular rail system, moved suspended public transportation carriages above urban traffic. developing this one step further, insaat has conceptualized a new system of second level transportation, once more acting as a solution to the dense congestion of cities, by using pods supported by six pillars to offer more manoeuvrability.

dahir insaat’s new design intends to fit within the already established infrastructures of cities, where the supports will move along with regular traffic flow on steel rails. however, each carriage’s six mobile, telescopic pillars are equipped with their own drive and sensors in order to react to the urban environment around it. this means that it is not only able to navigate different radius of curves and intersections but also traffic jams and collisions. furthermore, the legs are adjustable in height to allow passing under bridges.

each carriage has been designed to offer 200 comfortable seats, with the concepts of landing stations theorized with many possible commercial solutions. the pods feature solar panels on the roof in order to charge batteries, whilst, at stations, a short charge can provide enough energy for the system to travel to the next two stops.
