CES 2020: damon hypersport electric superbike adds blackberry QNX tech

CES 2020 played host to many surprising collaborations, from mercedes-benz and avatar to toyota and bjarke ingels group, but there was another promising partnership in the world of the electric motorcyles no less. full of high technology and performance, the damon hypersport integrates the operating prowess of blackberry to aid its safety. moreover, the innovation helps the two-wheeler be both smarter and safer for every one of your journeys. move fast, though, as only 25 editions will be made.

for safety, the damon hypersport uses blackberry’s QNX operating system as the basis of its copilot. it enhances radars, cameras and other sensors to track both the speed and direction of objects around the bike. this 360 degree advanced warning system is said to deliver unparalleled situation awareness. after tracking, the technology then warns the rider of danger through haptic feedback on the handlebars, integrated LEDs on the windshield, and on a 1080p rearview camera.

the design’s technology continues further though. its all-electric powertrain offers over 200 miles of emission-free range and delivers 200 hp, which propels the superbike from 0 to 60 mph in under 3 seconds. as well, riders can fine tune the stability control package. this ensures you can tailor the bike’s power to suit your confidence on a day-to-day basis.

the smartness of the damon hypersport also transforms the physical shape of the bike. through a simple push of a button, your riding position can be changed to suit any type of journey, from start-stop city traffic to that of high speed freeways. two modes – sport and commuter – are pre-set options with electronically controlled 4-point adjustability. all these innovations ensure the superbike improves every one of your rides.
