denon cocoon wireless speakers by feiz design studio

denon portable ‘cocoon’ speakers by feiz design studio in its latest collaboration, dutch feiz design studio has conceived the new ‘cocoon’ wireless speaker range for premium audio company denon. the collection consists of a high performance ‘home’ version and a smaller ‘portable’ version with long-life rechargeable batteries, with form influencing the inner function of the object, an expressive sculptural design incorporates an acoustically sealed chamber ensuring 100 watts of powerful room filling stereo sound performance.

the system easily connects within a user’s wireless home network by a single press of a button, using wifi audio streaming for all mobile platforms. a docking system with a dampened retracting mechanism and integrated display opens up exposing connectors to play music and charge iDevices and retracts when not in use, ensuring a minimal storage solution.

  • I agree with Lampie on the overall form. Has the feel of the “Bean” in Chicago by Amish Kapoor turned on it’s side. However, the integration of the iphone and ipad seem to be an afterthought.
