raising the bar for people who can’t afford ferraris, ducati released the ‘monster 1200 R’, the most powerful addition to the family. it has been designed for all those who make sports performance their lifestyle and wish to turn each commute into an adrenaline-packed experience without forgoing the essential, practical appeal.  

comes equipped with a ‘testastretta’ four stroke 160hp ‘R’version engine

the bike is equipped with a 1200 cc ‘R’ version twin cylinder engine that delivers 160 hp. ducati completely redesigned it to be more compact and lightweight with high slung tailpiece, seat, and high mounted plate holder. the ‘monster 1200 R’ setup features a higher stance, for more extreme lean angles to make the most of the pirelli tires. the bike is also equipped with advanced suspension and steering dampers. ducati made it lighter thanks to carbon fiber components and forged wheels.

the finishing touches to the ducati ‘monster 1200 R’ design can be seen in the nose fairing and the longitudinal graphic pattern influenced by the ‘corse’ stripe. the exclusive character of this model is reflected in the painstaking care for detail – the radiator metal covers have an ‘R’ graphic obtained by sand blasting, while the bi-material seat has contrasting seams and a metal plate bearing the name of the model.
