EARTHCRUISER’s new isuzu-based RV line

US overland vehicle manufacturer EarthCruiser introduces its next-generation line of RVs which is based on the Isuzu NPR Series Class 4 chassis. Designed to accompany you on any expedition, big or small, the cab-over all-wheel-drive vehicles ensure solid performance, as well as cinema-like visibility making every bend in the road a new vista. Their versatile configuration and redundant power system promise to provide service anywhere on the planet.

designed to get you where you need to be

Designed and built to EarthCruiser specification, the new RV line replaces the previous Fuso platform with the Isuzu NPR Series Class 4 platform. This change underpins the next-generation EXP and FX EarthCruiser models, as well as the CORE model. The company combines the new chassis with its proprietary 4×4 drivetrain and suspension components, to create a vehicle that’s ‘incredibly capable’ and ‘designed to get you where you need to be’. In addition, EarthCruiser incorporates a GM 6.6 Liter L5P V-8 Duramax Turbo Diesel Engine with a peak output of 350 horsepower and 425 lbft (576 Nm) of torque.

According to the overland manufacturer, the new platform offers the ideal size and footprint for an adventure vehicle, providing precision and reliability. In addition, the engine and transmission combo has been specially programmed to optimize power and fuel economy. With specially selected gearing and the ability to select multiple drive options, the trucks performs flawlessly on any terrain you throw at it. ‘No detail has gone unscrutinized, so you can adventure with confidence.’ EarthCruiser notes.

FUNCTION MEETS FORM

As EarthCruiser mentions on its website, the cab-over layout of the Isuzu platform provides ‘cinema-like visibility’, which is a very important asset in off-road situations. In addition, the configuration allows for a large, comfortable living space design including a bed, dinette, and washroom area. The shape of the camper helps optimize the living space, reduce wind drag, and keep trail-worthy bashes to a minimum. The built-in insulation keeps the interior comfortable in most conditions and reduces your energy use.

Everything within the home is powered by a solar system with a 3,000W inverter and a dual 400-Ah lithium-ion battery, while there’s also an 8,000-BTU air-conditioning system. The camper also features roof-mounted solar panels capable of supporting life off-grid, while several backup options make sure that you never experience a blackout.
