musk revealed the new addition to tesla automobiles during a talk with bethesda director todd howard and host geoff keighley, which covered topics including artificial intelligence, colonizing space, and of course, video games. tesla’s already feature playable atari games but musk said he wanted to add more to the car.

the game, which is called ‘beach buggy racing 2’, is a 3D off-road kart racing game which runs on multiple platforms including android, playstation 4 and nintendo switch. it’s similar to mario kart where players drive a buggy through different settings like beaches, towns, deserts and jungles.

like gaming accessories, which include life-like steering wheels, musk noted that the car’s own was an obvious addition when adding the game to tesla’s library. he explained that the vehicle’s break would be wired into the game too, but that the scroll wheel would most likely function as the gas to prevent any potential accidents.

of course, players must be parked when they play the games. musk imagines drivers engaging in playtime when at a charging station, on a road trip, or waiting to pick somebody up. he didn’t detail exactly when the game would be available.
