inspired by the first ever concept car – the buick Y-job designed by harley earl in 1938 – the embraer pulse concept is a new statement for the future of mobility. what makes it unique is its ability to drive along the ground before taking off into the air. this car-cum-aircraft celebrates the aviation brand’s 50th anniversary whilst also imaging their dream for the next five decades.

with an elongated form not too dissimilar to the buick Y-job, the embraer pulse concept looks and drives like a car, but actually it is an unmanned ground vehicle. its pod contains the control cockpit and passengers seats, and vertically takes off from the vehicle when in aircraft mode. this seamless transportation loop ensures you have a comfortably and safe personal space when moving.

the pod itself has been designed to offer a luxurious lounge atmosphere for you and passengers to relax and travel in. the entire pod is made from glass and a transparent alloy metal, which double as communication surfaces where people are able to interact with graphics, instructions and entertainment. at the same time, though, its bubble form ensures travellers have a 360° view of the world as they move.
