enki cycles’ ‘billy’ electric BMX is built from a super-lightweight and durable 6061 aluminum, with an embedded 13.6-ah samsung lithium-ion battery that powers its 500 W bafang rear hub motor. the eBike’s top speed is 32 km/h (20 mph), while it offers five different levels of electrical assistance, with a throttle-only mode. according to the san francisco-based manufacturer the ‘billy’ has a range of 66 km (41 m) per charge, under average use. additional refinements include BMX handlebars, a 5-volt UBB charging port for a smartphone, mechanical disc brakes, and a maintenance-free gates carbon belt drive. the bike is a featherweight, tipping the scales at just 54 lb (24.5 kg) with the battery.
