these bags light up when open to help you find what you need at night

solving an age-old problem and the frustration of rummaging around in the dark, FABRIKK founder and product designer kate pearson has replaced the traditional handbag lining interior material with a new automated LED fiber optic illuminating fabric so you can easily find things inside your bag at night. automatically switching on when the bag is open and giving off an attractive subtle glow, the VELA lights turn on via a switch near the clasp and is powered by a 3 AAA battery pack and a small LED bulb.

the color of the lights can be changed by swapping over the LED attachments built into the bag with an auto switch off if the bag is left open. made of new eco and animal free cork tree bark materials, the bag is ecological, versatile, hardwearing, weatherproof, attractive and soft to touch.

the designer believes cork is the perfect ecological alternative to leather, while the fabrics can be produced in endless colors, textures, and designs to mimic snakeskins or any desired design. also, it is a perfect material for hats and accessories, making them lightweight, waterproof and easy to clean.
