FoldiMate, a fully-functional machine that folds your clothes

FoldiMate, a fully-functional machine that folds your clothes

last year, FoldiMate announced its incredible machine — one that can take an entire laundry load and fold it in a few minutes. when we saw it, we were amazed but still a bit dubious as whether they could pull it off. today, we can tell you that our lazy dreams are coming true and that FoldiMate is a reality, as seen in las vegas at CES 2019. if you hate folding clean-smelling clothes, make sure you have $980USD to spare, as this machine is estimated to launch later on this year.

designed to fit nicely in any room, FoldiMate can be your next home helper for a price that although high, will compensate in time. the robot features ergonomic designed clipping technology that can fold any type of shirt, blouse, or pants from age 5 to adult size XXL. its fast folding abilities allows you to feed your items continuously while it simultaneously folds them. with smart robot properties, the machine can adjust the folding methods based on your preferences, item type and sizes.

‘it’s imperative to us to understand our customers’ wishes. we designed a chic appearance after learning that many people plan to use FoldiMate in their bedrooms, spare rooms, or living rooms.’ explains gal rozov, FoldiMate’s founder and CEO. ‘we realized that it needs to look less like an appliance as not everyone has space in their laundry room, and even if they do, they don’t necessarily want to fold there.’

  • So you have to hand feed each item? And in the video you can see the woman waiting for it to fold each item, meaning it isn’t saving any time for her st all.

    JJ NYC says:
  • FANTASTICA la voglio

    francesco roberto says:
  • You already have to fold the pants one time over and in the time it takes for her to wait for the machine she could’ve folded them herself….

The only thing that’s kind of convenient is the shirt folding but even then you have to button up the shirts first.

This would make a hell of a lot more sense if it steamed your clothes first or something, at least cleans them a bit.

    C. says:
  • The only way this would make sense to me is if the machine could first separate and then fold the clothes all on its own. That way all you have to do is dump your dry, freshly washed clothing in it and walk away until it’s ready for another load.
In my mind, if I have to hand-feed each individual item, I might as well fold it too. 🙂 That’s just my two cents. I’m sure that if this product gains enough traction, its inventors will find a way to improve it so that it appeals to people like me too.

    lyt says:
  • Video clearly Looks like they are feeding brand new clothes that already are ironed and just manipulation to show it irons . What a marketing strategy
