future OPPO phone cameras to debut telephoto zoom lens and 5-axis OIS
OPPO's new innovations for mobile phone cameras aim to make your photography picture perfect.
prefer designboom on googlecontinuing to lead smart device innovation, OPPO teases its upcoming mobile phone camera technology online at the future imaging technology launch event. from a telephoto lens to greater stabilization, the features are rumored to go into production from the end of 2021 once miniaturization of the camera solutions are tried and tested. the announcements coincide with the tech company’s call for young artists and technologists to join the innovation incubator – the OPPO emerging artists project, also known as OPPO renovators.

the online event revealed that OPPO phone cameras’ will soon feature telephoto lens with continuous optical zoom. this works with between an 85-200 mm continuous optical zoom module to offer greater flexibility for users. this range means the captured image should be crisp at every focal length without digital zoom, cropping or artificial sharpening.

for amateur photographers, OPPO phone users will also benefit from 5-axis optical image stabilization. with both lens and sensor shifting, the tech company says the technology will offer three times the angle than that of conventional optical stabilization. this allows faster capture and better low-light performance.

if that was not enough, the smart technology brand has also teased its next-generation RGBW sensor. this claims to take in 60% more light and achieve a 35% reduction in noise for cleaner photos. slated to debut at the end of 2021, the innovations should take your photography to the next level.
