gocycle designs new G4 foldable e-bikes for a smoother and quieter ride

UK-based gocycle unveils G4, its latest generation of foldable electric bikes. following the release of the GX models back in 2019, the new G4 range promises better performance, less noise, and a lighter design. all this in a compact e-bike that can fold up in just 10 seconds, making it easier to take around the city or on public transport.

gocycle‘s 2021 lineup comprises the G4, G4i and G4i+. what sets generation four apart from previous models is a new, specially designed electric motor called ‘G4drive’. developed by the company over a number of years, the G4drive provides a smooth and quiet ride while delivering more torque and low-speed start capability.

G4 folds into a compact package in just 10 seconds

the G4 models feature a lightweight carbon fiber mid-frame and single-sided front fork, reducing the overall weight of the e-bike to just 16.3kg (36lbs). as well as making it lighter, the smooth, flowing lines of the single-sided front fork are designed to help reduce stress and improve comfort for riders. to help maintain grip on the road, gocycle has also added new motoGP-inspired treaded tires that are infused with silica compound.

the electric bikes are powered by a removable lithium-ion battery. charged in 3.5 hours, the battery provides a range of up to 40 miles (65km) for the G4 and up to 50 miles (80km) for the G4i, depending on pedal input.

the new G4 range also comes with accessories to keep you connected. these include an integrated USB port and low energy bluetooth, so you can connect to the gocycle app to track your average pedal power and calories burned.
