the ‘floating record’ by gramovox is a high performance turntable that plays the records vertically. the space saving player reimagines original classic designs and embraces modern technology of today. to keep it vertical, gramovox incorporated a clamp that pairs with the polished acrylic platter to keep the spinning record in place. a fully adjustable carbon fibre tone arm with an audio technica cartridge reads the music without any distortion because of the elliptical diamond stylus.

the spin is powered by a silicone belt drive system that accommodates both 33 1/3 rpm and 45 rpm records. the base comes in two woods, premium maple and dark walnut, which houses the two full range neodymium stereo speakers and built in 30 watt channel digital amplifier. built in chicago, illinois the gramovox ‘floating record’ is looking for funding on their kickstarter page and plan to ship to customers in december 2015.
