the ‘hammocraft’ is a five person hammock frame for land or water, letting you float down calm rivers while hanging out. created by bland hoke and bryan carpenter, the floating structure has evolved from six different designs that have been tweaked, and refined over a period of ten years. the ‘hammocraft’ is designed to hold up to five hammocks on top of paddle boards, river rafts, kayaks, and on dry land, giving you the freedom to choose wherever, or whatever, can be used as a hammock dock.

throughout the ‘hammocraft’s‘ evolution it has suspended friends on rivers, rapids, oceans, camping spots, plus a variety of lakes, and slow rivers. easy to transport and assemble, it can be set to sail in a matter of minutes, and float the day away. over the years, the US-based company has crafted many prototypes and iterations,  achieving a lightweight frame for just one person to carry, the strength and capacity to hold up to five friends, ease of transport by breaking down and fitting into a ski-bag, while assembling and disassembling within 5 – 10 minutes.

the ‘hammocraft’ consists of an aluminum frame strapped down along the lengths of two parallel paddleboards. a built-in slot and knot system allows you to hang up to five hammocks from the frame with little work, while facilitating an intuitive height adjustment, and a simple disconnection when you’re packing up for the day. the frame comprises multiple beams that can assemble using simple ‘push-button’ connectors, making them easy to install once you’re by the river, with an easy disassembly at the end of the day.
