with a dazzling, milkway-like colorway, the heiwa BMW R75/6 justifiably won two awards at the mooneyes show, which is officially known as the hot rod custom show, in yokohama, japan. the custom motorcycle, also simply called ‘adrian’, is a sparkling design created by kengo kimura of the hiroshima-based workshop.

stripped to its bare mechanics, heiwa has transformed the BMW R75/6 into working piece of art. the purple candy flake paint was created with the workshop’s long time collaborator, six shooter. on its slim, simple but elegant body, the glitter still delivers a smooth surface that feels as good to touch as it looks.

at the center of the custom design, the R75 boxer engine is polished and placed low in the heavily modified frame. new trumpet air intakes and straight-shot exhaust pipes have been crafted from stainless steel, whilst the original airbox now functions as a holder for a lithium ion battery. elsewhere the new tank has been made out of steel whereas the tail unit has been made from aluminum. at the ground, the bike now boasts 18-inch wheels with classic H-pattern rims.
