‘soundsleeve’, a speaker module created by electronic manufacturers hiwave, offers a clear stereo sound solution for tablets. capable of easily being integrated into sleeves or covers for tablet devices, the device sets two 2W power exciters in a lightweight honeycomb panel, mounted within a thin protective shell.

engineers can incorporate amplifiers and interface electronics into the module by inserting a properly wired circuitboard into a cavity built in to the device. hiwave is also working on development of its own audium amplifier chip to optimize audio quality by equalizing the effects of the particular materials or assemblage of any given ‘soundsleeve’.
