for $700 USD, motorcycle riders can up their cool factor even more with NUVIZ, a compact heads-up-display (HUD) that pretty much makes you feel like you’re in a mission impossible chase scene. NUVIZ launched in 2017, received a best of innovation award this week, at CES 2018, and has a new operating system coming out in february 2018.

the new update features improved map views, better traffic data, customizable short cuts, simplified camera use — a better interface and a better overall experience. naturally, the company takes a noble stance, claiming that their HUD provides users with a safer ride, but with songs to shuffle through, icons to goggle at, phone calls to accept, and speed limits to ignore, it’s impossible to say if the transparent screen will prevent or cause accidents. that burden isn’t on NUVIZ; riders should know to always tech responsibly.
