ECOVACS outlines a future of coexistence between humans and robots

robotics and humans will live in an interdependent world, explains ECOVACS at IFA 2019. as a pioneer and leader of home service robots for the last 20 years, the brand unveiled a host of innovations and a new visual identity to support this belief at the fair in berlin, germany. the redesign, especially, highlights the transition of the company’s technology over their history, how they enhance consumer lifestyles, and what they predict for the next two decades.

from tools to housekeepers and now to companions, ECOVACS sees humans and robots coexisting in an interdependent world. they see how nature surrounds and coexists with humans, and believe this will be similar for robots too. this art of ‘surrounding’ is the inspiration for the brand’s new visual identity. the new design highlights this evolving relationship where bots will become an indispensable part of our lives, and ECOVACS aims to develop technology and design companions that will better living spaces from now and into the future.

their new visual identity differs from the previous one, delivering a distinctly different style with rounder edges, an energetic color scheme, and simplified lines. the design encompasses a brand logo, product logo, standard fonts, standard colors, sound effects, standard animation and other core elements. at the start of the logo, a blue orbit component references the accuracy and companionship of their robots, who intelligently understand our needs at home. lastly, the transition of a dot, ring and circle further reflects how robotics have become companions rather than just tools.

ECOVACS aims to play a key role in the development of the service robotics industry in the next 20 or even 100 years, concludes jonathan tang, vice president, head of global business at ECOVACS, at the new visual identity launch. ‘the new brand VI goes well beyond a logo. it represents ECOVACS’ brand spirit which is innovative and vibrant, as well as our commitment to building an intelligent home service robotics brand. ECOVACS robots are already the first choice of over 15 million families around the world.

like the new visual identity, ECOVACS’ product presentations at IFA 2019 show how the company designs to smartly assist our lifestyles. these includes the DEEBOT OZMO 950, the 960 – their first artificial intelligence-powered floor cleaning robot – and the WINBOT X – the first ever window cleaning robot. consumers can test these innovations and cutting-edge technology hands-on in an authentic environment at the fair.

the innovative yet perceptive nature of ECOVACS’ philosophy is exemplified by the DEEBOT OZMO 950, which received the IFA product technical innovation award. with a 5200 m(A)h battery, it features smart navi 3.0 laser mapping and navigation technology as well as OZMO mopping technology. these systems together ensure a ‘nothing missed’ cleaning experience that is completely automated and uninterrupted. homes of all sizes benefit from a full, deep clean.

ECOVACS’ presentations at IFA 2019 showcases the brand’s continued innovations to enhance our lives. their robots are designed as companions to help us live smart and easy. now, their new visual identity mirrors this belief as well. it communicates their perfect balance between reason and emotion when designing, and for how they envisage the future.
