impuls camouflages custom motorcycle and e-bike with reflective print

camouflaged bodywork is typically spotted on development cars in the aim of using confusing patterns to hide their form. taking inspiration from this practice, especially that of ford, florian huth creates ‘V /’ artwork for impuls’ latest two-wheelers. adorning on both an electric bicycle and motorcycle, the print goes one step further by using foil that reflects close to 100% of the directional light to make an even more intense effect. the result presents a contradiction between the visible and the invisible elements of the designs.

implus’ motorcycle places the new, camouflaged conceptual frame onto the large displacement of a BMW K100 engine. this not only added a power upgrade to the design but was mainly chosen as its rounder form better fitted the concept. an aggressive stance is created thanks to the shortening of the original forks, as well as the mismatched wheels that include a huge stock 18-inch alloy at the rear. whilst the headlights were built in the studio using ellipsoid lights, the seat was designed by dominic jones from leatherworx, who used matte red alcantara and black leather to match the contrast of the tank and cowl.

for their electric bicycle designs, implus collaborated to use an ultra lightweight fazua prototype hardtail MTB-frame. their first model is designed for urban environments, enhancing 3T carbon forks, magura MT8 brakes and tune parts such as handlebar, headset, seat and wheels. its extreme lightweight remains thanks to the excessive use of carbon elements. the second bike differs by including a magura boltron USD and different tires, transmission ratio and seat options, all of which are coated in huth’s confusing pattern.
