instagram might consider scrapping current limitations on video uploads, allowing users to posts short clips up to an hour long. at present, instagram stories are limited to a length of 15 seconds and videos in the main feed can last 1 minute.
the wall street journal, published the report yesterday mentioning the ‘new feature’ which might also ‘focus on vertical video’ according to the journal. this might allow dimensions close to that of an instagram story to be posted on the main feed. at the moment it is not confirmed, and to be honest, the details are a little fluffy. currently the stories reaches over 300 million daily active users. if it were to allow users to produce longer-form video what would they do with it?
