ioCamper is a transportable apartment that can be folded and packed into any van

ioCamper can transform any van into a transportable folding apartment without modifying the original vehicle in any permanent way. easy to pack inside L1, H1, H2, H3 or larger vans, the expanding camper box has a size of 2.5 x 1.3 x 1.7 meters (L x W x H), while users are able to choose between three different height sizes and modify the appearance of their ioCamper, with styles including modern, vintage, country, and summer.

the brainchild of hungarian mechanical engineer tamas laczko, ioCamper can be set up within five to ten minutes, growing approximately four times its original size to comfortably accommodate a group of four. users do not need to transform their vehicles in any permanent way, apart from the need to screw fixing plates on the floor of the cargo to ensure safe transportation.

ioCamper also offers alternative usage possibilities as it can be set up as a standalone apartment in ones courtyard, as a fishing bungalow, or even as a small guest-house. the camper box can be easily set up following the user guide provided, with a process operated manually or by a mobile device connected to its own wi-fi network, such as a mobile phone, tablet or laptop. the project is currently available for funding on indiegogo, which will enable it to go from prototype to full-scale production.
